Conference Information

The conference will be at the Graduate Club, 155 Elm St., New Haven (across from the New Haven Green) and will start at 8:30 a.m. (8:00 Continental Breakfast) and run until about 5-6 p.m. The phone number for the Club is 203-624-3197. The Graduate Club is about five-six blocks from the Marriott. Karl Ulrich Mayer will give the after dinner lecture on the topic “Achilles’ Heel or Problem Solved? Autobiographical Memory and Retrospective Measurement.”


Pre-Conference Workshop and Funding Opportunity

We are also planning a pre-conference workshop on the German Life History Study. Graduate students and early-career scholars interested in using these data may apply for funding to participate in the workshop and conference by sending an abstract for a research project and supporting materials. Authors of the best proposals will receive travel and accommodation awards to attend the conference (limited to domestic travel). To receive the conference discount rate please say that you are with the ASA-at-Yale Conference. You must call by January 31, 2007 to receive the discount. Reservations received after this date will be accepted at the group rate based upon hotel availability. The rate is $119.00 and is subject to state/occupancy taxes, currently totaling 12% (this tax is subject to change). Please have your credit card ready when you call. On site parking is available at an additional charge of $12.00 per day per vehicle (subject to change).
