Description:

The purpose of this project is to characterize how feedback mechanisms change during drought conditions. This project will also investigate the role of sea surface temperature anomalies on change conditions that can lead to droughts, such as changes to wind patterns and precipitation patterns. The overall goal of this work is to hopefully bring new insight into feedback mechanisms that are responsible for not only local climate effects but for global climate changes. Also, I hope this work will help in the development of better detection, measurement and characterization of droughts from remote measurements.
