This is an advanced seminar in the field of remote sensing. This seminar will consist of:
Each student in the Seminar will be expected to carry out a substantial research project. Students will meet regularly to discuss and review progress and problems in their own research projects.
Students taking this course must already have a working knowledge of the physics of remote sensing and practical experience using remote sensing software.
Students will meet for two hours each week for lecture, discussions and lab. Dates and times will be determined at the first organizational meeting. Please see the course syllabus for a detailed schedule.
There will be no textbooks required for this course. Students will be assigned readings from various peer reviewed journals and supplied handouts.
Ronald Smith is the lead instructor for this course. Several guests will provide lectures on various advanced topics during the semester.
