Yale Short Course in River Processes *The 2007 Course is full and closed to further enrollment. Please email Martha Smith to have your name added to the wait list.
One of the recent community initiatives facilitated by the CCWS was the Yale Short Course in River Processes. The course was offered to about 20 local conservationists on October 6th and 20th, 2002 as an introduction to the current scientific understanding of how river ecosystems function and how human activities disrupt that functioning. The goal of the course was to provide non-scientists with the basic scientific tools and technology needed to understand and evaluate scientific data relevant to the management of rivers. For information on future similar courses, please contact Martha Smith, Director of CCWS, by email at martha.smith@yale.edu or by phone at (203) 432-3026. Course Instructors |
