Application of the Hydromorphology of the River to Protect the Minimum Instream Flow According to Fish Habitat The goal of this project is to obtain new scientific
tools in river management that will help managers to more effectively
select the instream flow that will ensure the protection of fish habitat.
Through the rivision of the flow series and morphology of several Connecticut
streams, the main objective will be to present the minimum cross-sectional
area needed to be covered by a determined discharge flow to maintain the
minimum depth and the adequate velocity necessary to keep aquatic life
habitat, especially for fishes.
