The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is a leading conservation organization working around the world to protect ecologically important lands and waters for nature and people. Our mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
We are currently recruiting students to fill over 40 paid internship positions during summer, 2010 for our Diversity Internship Program. This program is designed to help TNC attract individuals from a variety of socio-cultural experiences and will match qualified and enthusiastic students with internships suited to their area of study. Our goal is for each intern to have a high-quality experience, a committed mentor, and a relevant project that provides them with additional skills and training. Interns begin the program with an orientation retreat (travel expenses covered) in which TNC leaders and students gather and share educational, professional, and career experiences. In addition to mentoring, the intern program will provide an outstanding network of professionals to draw on in future years.
Internships are in the following areas of study: Conservation/Environmental Studies; Science; IT; Marketing/Business; Marketing; Communications; MBA Finance; Policy; Government Relations; Audit; and Philanthropy.
