Recruiting

How can I recruit/hire alumni?

   

There are 2 ways of recruiting alumni:

You can go online to eRecruiting to request an account and/or post a job. Click on the link above to learn more about on-campus interviewing at Yale.

 
   

When does recruiting start?

   

We have two cycles of recruiting:

  • Fall cycle
    Scheduled for October through November and is primarily for Seniors looking for fulltime opportunities.

  • Spring cycle
    Scheduled for January through March and is for internship opportunities.

How does my firm become more visible on campus?

   

By forming a partnership with UCS and getting involved in programs such as On-Campus Interview Program, career fairs, Employer in Residence Presentations, panels, and Real World Tours.

How do we reach out to your diversity groups?

   

All inquiries pertaining to diversity groups should be directed to UCS at 203.432.0804 or by email. UCS will advise on how to go about recruiting these student populations.

Posting jobs/internships

How do I post a job or internship?

   

Both jobs and internships are posted through UCS and made available to students through eRecruiting. Visit the post a job page to begin the account registration process. To post or sponsor an internship visit the internship information page.

 
   

Is there a fee for posting a job?

   

No. There is no fee for posting a job.

 
   

Can I fax or email a job description to your office to post?

   

No. All job descriptions must be posted electronically through our UCS website. Visit the post a job information page to learn more.

Interviewing

How do we sign up for on-campus interviews?

   

You must email a company profile and types of positions for which your firm will recruit. The approval process may take up to 48 hours to complete.Upon approval contact our office at 203.432.0804 to make a reservation.

 
   

When can I make offers to students?

   

The Employment Offers & Acceptances Policy (pdf) provides guidelines and dates for second round offers and acceptance policies.

 
   

Can I interview undergraduates and graduate students in your facility?

   

Graduate students may not be interviewed at UCS. Contact the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Career Office (203.432.2583) to make arrangements for interviews.

 
   

Can I test students in your facility?

   

UCS is unable to administer tests or reserve a room to be used as a testing facility. UCS space is solely for the purpose of interviewing students from Yale College. Employers are encouraged to contact local hotels to make arrangements for space.

 
   

Can I begin to interview before 8:30am or after 5pm?

   

Interviews begin at 9:00am and end at 4:45pm.

 
   

Can I pay my fees by charge and can I pay after the interviews?

   

Employers may pay their fees by American Express, Visa, or Master Card cards or by check. All fees for recruiting must be paid prior to the visit. Visit our fee schedule page to learn more about pricing.

Our facilities

Is internet access for my laptop available at UCS?

   

Yes, UCS offers an Ethernet connection and a telephone in each interview room. Recruiters must have a calling card to reach an out-of-area telephone number.

 
   

Can I test students in your facility?

Does UCS offer resume books?
