Scheduling a counseling appointment

General Counseling
Counseling appointments are 30 minutes in length and can be scheduled during weekday business hours listed above.

Pre-Med Counseling
Counseling appointments are 45 minutes in length and can be scheduled during weekday business hours listed above. It is best to plan an agenda to discuss with the premed advisor before coming to the appointment. Appointments must be made at least 48 hours in advance. If you must cancel an appointment, please call the office 24 hours in advance.

*Please read the following Appointment Policy:

• If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we require you to notify us by 5:00 pm the day prior your appointment. If you do not call in time or simply not show up, it will be recorded as a "No Show".


• If you arrive later than 10 minutes for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule and it will be recorded as a "No Show."


• You will be ineligible to use UCS services for the rest of the academic year after three consecutive "No Show's".

We do understand that unexpected needs arise and that academic, work commitments, illnesses can affect your schedule. As a courtesy, contact us to let us know of any change as early as possible. This will also provide us with the opportunity to offer the time slot to another student who has been waiting to gain an appointment time. Your prior 'No Show' is erased if you reschedule and attend your next appointment.

Counseling during open hours

Students can meet with a UCS Counselor or a Peer Advisor without an appointment during the designated open hours listed below. Open hour sessions are each 15 minutes in length and are available on a first come, first serve basis. You may sign up for a specific open hour session in person the day of the session. You may not reserve a session by phone or through email.
