GRASSROOT SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Love to play soccer? Never played soccer but still want to have fun?

Are you interested in public health, specifically combating HIV/AIDS?

On Saturday May 2, you will have the chance to do both.

The Grassroot KickAIDS Soccer Tournament that will raise money for the fight against AIDS you can play on a team of 3 players and win great prize. Sign up with people from your student group or just sign up with your friends. All you need to do is email Roland (roland.reimers@yale.edu) and you can help save lives!

It is $12 to register each team. 100% of money raised will go to Grassroot Soccer, an NGO that uses soccer to teach a special HIV prevention curriculum to African youth. They are the recent winner of the prestigious Ashoka/Nike Sport for a Better World Collaborative Competition and a partner with the Clinton Foundation. The tournament will take place on Old Campus from 12 to 4 pm and the top teams will win gift certificates and everlasting glory. What could be a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon?
