Large Mailings
Labels purchased through the Yale Records Office totaling approximately 7,500 in number, including University mail codes for sorting/distribution purposes. The codes are as follows:
0000 - 0299 Medical Area
0300 - 0699 Central Area
0700 - End Science Area
Mail must be kept in numerical order and bundled with rubber bands by code (i.e., all 301's, all 302's, etc.). Campus Mail will deliver mail bags or trays for your use upon request.
Please notify campus mail (#4-9310) at least one day in advance of desired pick-up.
If you are utilizing your own labels, bundle mail for Central Area by building locations (i.e., Law School, HGS, 17 HLH, etc.). Mail for Science and Medical Areas should be bundled by department. If there are a hundred or more pieces, call Campus Mail at least one day in advance of desired pick-up.
HINT: If using computer labels, sort by building.
NOTES:
- Allow ample time for your mailings to be processed. Be aware of response dates and dates for events listed in mailings.
- Date your mail with the date it is to be mailed, not the date the first draft was made. Example: A letter dictated on Nov. 1st may be be finalized and copies made until Nov. 4th or 5th.
- Campus Mail Service does not make deliveries to student dorms.
