Cards on You Mail
Campus Mail makes every effort to get your mail delivered to you promptly the same day we receive it from the U.S. Postal Service. However, we daily receive a large volume of mail that is incorrectly addressed. This mail must be individually looked up and directed to the proper address. In an attempt to correct this addressing problem, campus mail is stamping these pieces with a note reading
Avoid Delays!
|
Please advise correspondence of your correct address. Correct address format is: |
Your Name
Department
Yale University PO Box _________
New Haven, CT 06520-______ |
This note is stamped on the mail, the incorrect address (such as street address) is crossed off, the correct information written in and a Change of Address Card stapled to it.
But this effort is wasted if the card is discarded!
Take a moment to fill out the card, apply postage and mail it. Also encourage others in your department to fill out these cards. Help us to help you receive your mail without delay.
Remember Your P.O. box is a REAL U.S. Post Office box, not an internal sort once your mail arrives at Yale. ONLY use your street address when an item is being sent to you by private carrier such as United Parcel Service or Federal Express.
