Address Search Information
Your morning mail arrives and you begin to open it. Then you come to a letter for someone that is in another department or building. Trying to be helpful, you reach for your old Yale Directory and look up the person's address. The letter goes back in Campus Mail and you continue opening the morning mail.
But what about that letter. Was the information you used to look up the address accurate and up to date?
It is not uncommon for Campus Mail to find letters being forwarded to buildings that no longer exist or mail being forwarded to departments that moved from that address several years before. Perhaps the person does not even work at Yale any longer.
Please be sure the information you are using is up to date. If in doubt, use the on-line Yale Phonebook before addressing envelopes.
Building Address Search (What to do with misaddressed campus mail)
If you receive mail for someone not in our department or building, please re-address it using the Yale online directory and put back in campus mail. And thanks for helping us get mail to its proper place.
