The Camerata is composed of approximately 60 Yale students, faculty, staff, and community members. It performs a number of times during the academic year and rehearses once a week.  Its chamber chorus comprises approximately 24 singers and sings one concert each year, in addition to being featured on each Camerata performance.  Membership is open by audition from within the Camerata.

Admission to the Camerata is by annual audition, which focuses on sight-reading and ensemble skills in addition to voice quality and technique. Requirements include performance of prepared piece(s), vocalization, and sight reading.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 7:30-10pm (first rehearsal, Sept 11).

Audition Requirements

Audition requirements include demonstrating good sight-reading ability and the performance of a short solo song or aria. Please bring three copies of the music to the audition. An accompanist will be provided.
