Our laboratory includes several longstanding projects in many disciplines that address central issues in evolutionary biology. We are interested in understanding the patterns and forces that shape the spatial and temporal of distribution of genetic diversity in natural populations of a variety of organisms in a diversity of natural settings. The two main areas of research are on endangered species (Galapagos fauna in particular) and on insect populations, mostly vectors of diseases and invasive species. We welcome Yale undergraduates and graduate students to join our lab and receive extensive training in laboratory techniques. We invite you to collect preliminary data for grant proposals and to complete research contributing to senior projects, Master’s theses, or PhD dissertations. Besides or own research projects our laboratory provides two services:
1-Training and research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, post-doc's, and faculty are offered and supported  through the YIBS Molecular Systematics and Conservation Genetics Laboratory.
2- DNA Sequencing and Fragment Analysis of AFLP's, Microsatellite's and SNP's through a fee-for-service core lab the DNA Analysis Facility on Science Hill.
