Dear Cabaret Comrade,
Welcome to the madhouse! For the past forty years, the Yale Cabaret has offered amazing opportunities for students at the School of Drama to create and collaborate, practice and play. The basement of 217 Park Street transforms into a magical box where just about anything can, and does, happen. The intimate space creates exciting alchemy between artists and audience. You are the eyes, ears and hearts on the other side of our fourth wall; your willingness to take leaps of faith and imagination fuels ground breaking work week after week.
This year we have many surprises up our sleeves. We will unveil an exciting menu with our new chef as well as a late night desert and wine bar. Along with twenty new shows, we will host several talk-backs, forums for discussing topics that affect our community, and a “secret garden” to boot.
We believe in big gutsy theater that wears its heart on its sleeve and wants to change the world. We believe that the Yale Cabaret is where the future of theater begins. We’re glad you’ve come along on the adventure. Here’s to the next forty years!
