Each year a specific
discovery involving researchers from the Breaker laboratory is recognized
as "Molecule of the Year" based on scientific merit and
importance. The winner is chosen by Dr. Breaker using an arduous
process of reflection, rumination, and scientific pontification.
The award is presented at the end of each year in a fantastically
popular and well-attended ceremony. Because science is its own reward,
the honoree is not burdened with a cash prize or trophy.
