What do you miss about your hometown that you canÕt find in New Haven?

I miss having a million Mexican restaurants to choose from and the big, fun family gatherings that occurred every weekend for no other reason than just to be together.

What interests you about folkloric dancing and why did you join this group?

During my senior year, my friends and I decided to perform un baile del Querˇtaro to add some culture to the annual high school talent show. I loved every minute of it and being able to share a unique part of my culture with the rest of my school.  I want to learn more about ballet folkl—rico and have fun performing for my friends and family.

What is your favorite folklorico dance and why?

Vera Cruz; I can't wait until I can perform the entire dance all the way through.  My biceps are going to be huge!

Biography

Even though I am not sure of what I want to major in, I am taking on a premed schedule in hopes of applying to medical school after college.  My dream is to perfect my Spanish so that I can work in those predominantly Spanish-speaking in the U.S. that are in need of bilingual physicians communities.  In my spare time I play tennis IM's for Stiles and the clarinet in the YPMB.  They are great ways to relax and completely separate myself from schoolwork.  I am also excited to say that I am currently an employee at La Casa, which is my first job ever!  I'm happy, not everyone can say that they actually liked their first job.  I'm a person that takes what they decide to do

seriously, however, I would be devastated if life was all work and no play.
