What do you miss about your hometown that you canÕt find in New Haven?

I miss my friends, my family, the warm weather, and... well I just miss Texas.

What interests you about folkloric dancing and why did you join this group?

I danced Ballet Folkl—rico in elementary school and then never had a chance to do it again, so once I found the opportunity, I took it! I always loved it and still do because it's so much fun!

What is your favorite folkl—rico dance and why?

I think my favorite folklorico dance is Jarabe Tapatio because it's so fun to perform. The audience gets so excited and it makes me happy.

Biography

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, but my family is from Motul, Yucatan, Mexico. I used to dance Jarana, the state dance, when I was younger. I have a 7-year-old sister who I watch Spongebob with. I have a rabbit named Betty who lives in my dorm room. And I have no idea what I will do in the future... except that it will make me happy!
