Jessica Andrea Lopez Hometown: Gardena, CA Year: 2011 College: Ezra Stiles Major: History What do you miss about your hometown that you can’t find in New Haven? I miss the eloteros, paleteros, (aaah food...) and that even major stores are within walking distance. What interests you about folkloric dancing and why did you join this group? I joined BF because I always thought that it looked interesting, but never got around to doing it in high school. Where else do you get to wear such pretty dresses and an obscene amount of makeup??

What is your favorite folklorico dance and why? My favorite dance so far is the Chiapanecas because it is fun and (relatively) easy. The choreography is beautiful. Biography I am the eldest of three children. I am from Gardena CA. My parents are originally from Michoacan. ( I love the dance with the little old men...forgot the name...) I have never danced BF before, but I love to dance! Three shows I love to watch are : Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, and Grey's Anatomy. I am currently in my first year of Italian, and one day, I will finally be fluent in three languages.
