A. Zamora Hometown: Chicago, Illinois Year: 2008! College: Silliman Major: Psychology What do you
miss about your hometown that you canÕt find in New Haven? I miss my goddaughter,
Kierra, the convenience that comes along with being in such an urban area
with access to a car and the food. What
interests you about folkloric dancing and why did you join this group? This type of dancing has
always captured my attention. I joined this group my sophomore year because I
thought to myself, Òthis is finally my chance.Ó |

What is your
favorite folklorico dance and why? HmmÉ I really love La Bamba
from Veracruz because it is so lively and the version that we dance is
infused with a modern version of the song so I get the best of both worlds. Biography My parents were both born
in Mexico, but I was born in Chicago. I have two brothers and three sisters.
My family is very close, so we have lots of really great times and some
pretty great fights too. I am senior psychology major and I donÕt plan on
doing anything with it. I hope to be a first year law student next year. I
have an odd personality. I am obsessed with detail and I am the kind of
person who makes her bed everyday. I really love ballet folkl—rico and I plan
to do my best to make this year one of our greatest. |
