Jane Savage

Jane Savage, Director, Best Practices, joined Yale in 2007. Jane is an alumnus of the Yale School of Management and has nearly twenty years of experience consulting on a variety of organizational development and labor-management efforts. They include healthcare organizations involved in a partnership between the League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes of New York and 1199 SEIU, as well as Fortune 500 apparel, chemical, and auto supply manufacturers partnering with UNITE HERE. Jane also has experience with university operations. Prior to joining Yale, she was employed by the Cornell University ILR School Extension Division where she assisted its leadership team in undertaking significant changes to their mission and services, managed the Organizational Change Group, and co-founded and directed a training program that teaches skills in managing change to human resource professionals, consultants, and managers. Jane brings to the work with the University and Locals 34 and 35 multiple perspectives as a manager, as a union member (in her early work as a structural engineer), as a Yale student and alumnus, and as a resident of New Haven for more than fifteen years.
