Labor Management Policy Board

As a result of joint discussions designed to improve labor management relations, Yale University and Locals 34 and 35 mutually agreed to enter into the Labor Management Initiative. The Labor Management Policy Board is the ultimate authority for the initiative and will guide its many groups to success.

Responsibilities: The Labor Management Policy Board is responsible for providing general oversight to the Departmental Committees and to the Labor Management Initiative.

The Policy Board membership consists of the Presidents of the Local 34 and 35, the Vice President for Finance and Administration, and the Deputy Provost.

Local 35 President and Policy Board member, Bob Proto, has stated his hopes and vision for the future: "There is an agreed conviction that we can't continue to operate as we have done in the past, and there is a shared commitment that this partnership will benefit everyone at the University."
