The BBCC Board

The board members of BBCC will have a significant role is shaping how the organization will run and how it will conduct its activities.  Board meetings will typically occur twice a  month, unless otherwise noted.  In addition to being organized, creative, driven, and enthusiastic, leaders should be firmly committed to BBCC's core ideals and goals.

Position Descriptions

The co-chairs are responsible for overseeing and evaluating the overall direction of BBCC and its activities.   They are in charge of conducting meetings and arranging events, as well as helping the remaining board members with their duties.

The secretary is responsible for maintaining BBCC’s records. These duties include taking minutes for every general and board meeting, maintaining a log of minutes, keeping updated member information, keeping track of member attendance, counting ballots after voting procedure, and performing other duties necessary to keep BBCC’s operations running smoothly.  The secretary should be able to take clear and concise notes.

The treasurer is responsible for all of BBCC’s financial activities. This includes monitoring and keeping accurate records of the general budget, expenses, funding requests and the disbursement of funds to charity organizations.

The activities coordinator will work with the co-chairs to plan events and oversee the general ongoings of Builders of a Brighter Cambodian Community...

The public relations coordinator is responsible for spreading awareness of BBCC through advertising and promoting events. The public relations coordinator plans and manages the distribution of flyers and posters notifying the general student body of BBCC’s meetings and special events.  The coordinator is also responsible for press releases and updating alumni and other student organizations about BBCC’s activities.

The webmaster will maintain and update BBCC’s website.

   


Builders of a Brighter Cambodian Community is a non-profit organization at
Yale University devoted to relieving the pains and problems facing the Cambodian Community both in the United States and abroad.
