The Graduate Writing Center
Graduate students can obtain writing assistance and support through The Graduate Writing Center, located at 35 Broadway, Room 210. Please visit our website or contact us by email.
The Graduate Writing Center offers many opportunities for graduate students to become better academic writers, including:
- Individual consultations with tutors
- Regular academic writing workshops
- Peer-mentoring writing groups
- Writing events with invited speakers
Individual consultations are FREE and aim to provide graduate students with practical, goal-oriented assistance in improving their writing and editing skills. Graduate students meet individually with a tutor for 30 to 60 minutes to receive feedback on a writing assignment. Tutors are Ph.D. students with extensive experience in editing and teaching within the humanities, sciences, and social sciences disciplines. Appointments for individual writing consultations can be scheduled online.
