Scheduling Aircraft. To reserve
an aircraft, please telephone Robinson Aviation at (203) 467-9555
and tell them you wish to schedule a Yale Aviation aircraft.
(Robinson has its own club and fleet, so make sure you tell
them Yale Aviation.) The desk personnel will give you the
available times and make your reservation. If a member does
not arrive at the airport within thirty minutes of his or
her reservation time the reservation is cancelled. Members
are asked to be polite about scheduling the aircraft: cancel
reservations promptly if the flight will not be made, and
return the aircraft on time. Currently there is a $10 charge
for failing to cancel a reservation that will not be used.
In addition, dual instruction same-day cancellations are subject
to a $30 fee. Additional rules concerning scheduling are contained
in the official club regulations. In general, an aircraft
can be flown anywhere in the continental United States and
Canada, although trips lasting longer than a week need prior
approval. Flights to other destinations can be arranged with
the club officers. Please consult the Yale Aviation regulations
for complete information on scheduling.
