Welcome ASC Members!

THANKS TO ALL ASC MEMBERS WHO CONDUCTED INTERVIEWS THIS YEAR!

The Undergraduate Admissions Office at Yale wishes to thank every ASC member who helped recruit and interview candidates for the Yale Class of 2012.  Your feedback on candidates and your efforts to encourage top students to consider Yale, are tremendously helpful to us in our mission to build the most talented, diverse, accomplished and interesting class possible.

The Admissions Office will mail decision letters on the evening of Monday, March 31, 2008.  Applicants may also obtain their admissions decisions via the Yale Admissions web site beginning on the evening of March 31.  ASC members may access decisions on-line beginning on April 3 – but only for those students for whom you submitted reports via the ASC web site.  Please remember that just as the details of a student’s application are confidential, so are admissions decisions.  Please do not share admissions decisions with anyone except for your local ASC Director.

I encourage you to call or email admitted students to congratulate them on their admission to Yale.  Encourage prospective Yalies to come to the on-campus program for admitted students, Bulldog Days, from April 21 to 23.  Do not contact students who have been denied admission or who have been placed on the wait list.  Please be very careful when you review the list of applicants so as not to accidentally contact students who have been denied admission or wait listed.  If you decide to send an email to more than one admitted student at a time, please be sure to put the email addresses in the blind cc section of the email to ensure confidentiality.

Thank you again for your help with the admissions effort.
