  3. Numerical Recipes Section 19.0. For reference, a rather advanced discussion of relaxation and multigrid methods can be found in sections 19.5 and 19.6.

1. Gauss-Seidel relaxation

Translate and modify Program laplace so that the potential is updated as in Problem 10.9a. Do Problem 10.8 a, b and c using this modified program.

2. Numerical solution of Poisson's equation

Do Problem 10.11 a, b and c.

3. Multigrid method

Do Project 10.1 a and b.
