Richard G. Bribiescas (Ph.D., Harvard 1997) is Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Yale Reproductive Ecology Laboratory.

His primary interests include human and comparative evolutionary biology, reproductive ecology, endocrinology, metabolism, senescence, and life history theory. His most notable work is on the role of testosterone and other hormones in regulating life history trade offs in men. He has conducted field research in Paraguay, Venezuela, Japan, and the United States and is author of 'Men: Evolutionary and Life History' published by Harvard University Press (2006).  He is also director of the Center for Human and Primate Reproductive Ecology, A Yale Institute for Biospheric Studies sponsored research center. Current courses taught by Professor Bribiescas include Introduction to Biological Anthropology, Human Biology and Life History as well as graduate seminars in behavioral endocrinology, reproductive ecology, and life history theory.
