Installing the Canon ImageRunner Printer Driver on a
Windows computer
- Create a folder on your C:\ drive called "IR"

- Double click on the PCL5e-c-6_v7.10-v5.10_Setup.exe to unzip the
driver files.
- Click the Browse button when the WinZip Self-Extractor window
appears.

- Select the IR folder located on the C: drive and click the OK
button.

- Click the Unzip button to decompress the files.

- Click the OK button when the files have been successfully unzipped
and click the Close button on the WinZip Self-Extractor window.

- In Windows Explorer browse to the IR directory (My Computer >
Local Drive C: > IR)
- Double click on the IR folder and continue to open the folders up to
the "us_eng" directory. Here you will find the "Setup.exe" file.

- Double click on the "Setup.exe" file to begin the setup wizard.
Click the Next button to begin the installation and agree to the license
agreement.

- Use the "Manually Set Port to Install" option and click the Next
button.

- Select the Canon iR5570/iR6570 PCL5e from the list and click
the Add button to place it in the "Printer List for Driver Installation Pane"
and click the Next button.

- Click the Add Port button on the next window.

- Select "Standard TCP/IP Port" from the list in the Add Port Window
and click the OK button.

- When the Add Standard TCP/IP Port wizard starts, click the Next
button.

- In the Printer Name or IP Address field type the following IP
address: 128.36.121.65
- The Port name field will replicate the IP address and can be left as
is. Click the Next button.

- The Port field will now have the IP address. Click the Next
button.
- Verify that the Printer List for Driver Installation information is
correct and click the Start button.

- Click the Yes button to continue at the Waring window.

- Once the installation is complete, click the Exit button. For
Windows 2000 and Windows XP computers it is not necessary to restart the
computer so the box can remain un-checked.

- Verify that the printer is in the Printer List (Start > Setting
> Control Panel > Printers and Faxes).

- Feel free to delete the PCL5e-c-6_v7.10-v5.10_Setup.exe
file and IR folder from the C: drive.
