Karen Hébert ...
is a recent Ph.D. in anthropology at University of Michigan. Hébert works on the salmon industry in Alaska. She will turn her dissertation into a book manuscript while at Yale.

Keely Maxwell ...
is an assistant professor at Franklin & Marshall College and 2004 Yale Ph.D. in social ecology (student of Michael Dove). She works on Machu Picchu.

Alessandro Monsutti ...
is a social anthropologist at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. He works on migration and reconstruction in rural Afghanistan. He was trained in Switzerland and at SOAS in London.

Laura Sayre ...
has a Princeton Ph.D. in English awarded in 2002. She is the lead writer/editor of a project at the Rodale Institute in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, to create an online course for farmers transitioning to organic.

Nandini Sundar ...
is a sociologist from the Delhi School of Economics who works on the tribal areas of central India, principally in the state of Chhattisgarh. She has a 1995 Ph.D. in anthropology from Columbia University.

Kathy J. Cooke ...
is Professor of history at Quinnipiac University and a former Program Fellow. Cooke will conduct historical research on the development of “purity” as a cultural icon in late 19th- and early 20th-century America.
