For students who have already submitted a transfer application
Now that you have applied as a transfer candidate to Yale, you may have some questions about the status of your application. Please see below for answers to frequently asked questions.
Have you received my transfer application?
The Admissions Office will not be able to confirm receipt of transfer applications until late February or early March.
Can I check the status of my transfer application on line?
There is no online status page for the transfer admissions process. The Yale Admissions Office does not provide PIN or Eli account numbers to transfer candidates. Our communication with transfer candidates is primarily via email.
Is my transfer application complete?
If any documents are missing from your application, we will notify you in mid April via email.
When and how will I find out my admissions decision?
Candidates will be notified of their admissions decision in mid May via both email and postal mail. Mailed letters will be sent to the address which you provide under Home Address on Form 1.
