Electronic Submission of the Application
|
Note: If you are having trouble submitting your Common Application or Yale Supplement, please go to Common Application Help. You will find a “Most Common Questions” list, maintained by the Common Application. If you do not find an answer to your question, you may click on “Submit a Ticket” and send a question to the Common Application tech support. You can expect a prompt response. Step 1To apply for admission to Yale College using an online application, go to app.commonapp.org. There you will fill out the Common Application and the required Yale Common Application Supplement. Before starting to work on the Yale Supplement, though, be sure to read Yale's Application Instructions. Step 2As an online applicant, you will need to pay the $75 application fee by credit card, debit card, or electronic check. (To pay the fee you should log into the Common Application website and click on the Checklist tab, then on the Online Payment link for Yale University.) You cannot pay for the online application with a personal check. You may also file a fee waiver request. Step 3In addition to the Common Application and the required Yale Supplement, several other forms will be needed to complete your application to Yale: 2 teacher evaluations from instructors who have taught you in academic subjects, the School Report Form, and the Midyear Report Form. You can download and print these forms from the right-hand column on this page. Please be sure that the envelopes sent from your school to Yale containing the two teacher evaluations, the School Report and the Midyear Report are all marked Early Action or Regular Decision. Your application will be processed more quickly as a result. |
