What's ACSSY
The Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale (the ACSSY) is a legitimate non-profit organization of, by and for the Chinese students and scholars at Yale.
How large is the ACSSY membership?
At present, ACSSY has more than 600 members (not including their family members). They form a very dynamic Chinese community.
What about ACSSY Mailing List ?
When you want to sell or purchase some stuff, have a moving sale, look for housing in New Haven, sublet your room, etc. etc, you can always send your mail to acssy@yale.edu and we will forward it to some 600 people on our mailing list. Acssy also distribute health insurance, job market and other information frequently.
The messages sent to acssy@yale.edu will undergo some screening before being forwarded to all community members.
To join our mailing list or to unsubscribe from it, please go to Membership Page to sign up.
When a message sent to acssy@yale.edu is forwarded to all our community members, it is also automatically archived ACSSY BBS. Messages are generally saved for a period of time there so that our members can always refer to it if they accidentally delete some important junk mails from ACSSY. :)
Our members are also free to post directly to the ACSSY BBS. However, such messages only appear on the www site. They are not automatically forwarded to our email list.
Does ACSSY has a homepage?
Yes, we do. The address is http://www.yale.edu/acssy. You might get lots of information of our ACSSY community from the page.
Acssy@yale.edu is our official contact address. It collects and redistributes community information.
To whom should I send my suggestions and complains?
You might send e-mail to individual board members. Or, you can just send the mail to acssy@yale.edu and we will forward it to proper destination for you.
How is ACSSY financed?
ACSSY has no regular income sourse. We have to do extensive fund-raising long before each major activities like the coming National Day Party. We never charge membership fee.
