This semester, the ACLU has established three campaigns for issues of interest. Anyone can be a part of as many or as few as you want, in varying degrees of commitment. If you want to start a campaign, just come to a meeting and let us know!

1. Detainee Rights Campaign
Through this campaign, we hope to raise awareness about the abuse of prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. Hundreds of prisoners are held, often without trial or even hearing the evidence against them. Detainees are often subject to torture, such as waterboarding.

2. Religious Freedom Campaign
This campaign will seek to explore Connecticut's stand on issues of religious freedom, using a recent case of alleged discrimination in the workplace as a starting point. Hundreds of signatures have already been collected, and we will be contacting Connecticut state legislators. Contact David Price for more information.

3. Reproductive Rights Campaign
We are currently beginning a campaign on reproductive rights. Recent developments will guide the direction this campaign takes.
