Linda A. Mason '80 M.B.A.
Linda Mason is chairman and co-founder of Bright Horizons
Family Solutions, the nation's largest provider of employer-sponsored
early childhood education. The company operates over 480 child
development centers in thirty-eight states and the United
Kingdom and serves over 55,000 families. Ms.
Mason founded Bright Horizons with her husband, fellow Yale
School of Management alumnus Roger Brown. After graduating
from the School of Management, Ms. Mason delivered emergency
relief to Cambodian refugees and to famine and war victims
in Africa. With her husband, she co-authored a book about
the Cambodian relief effort. She also is co-founder of The
Horizons Initiative, a nonprofit organization serving the
needs of homeless children throughout the Boston area. Ms.
Mason's honors include the White House's Ron Brown Award for
Corporate Leadership. She has published the book, The
Working Mother's Guide to Life. She has served on the
School of Management's alumni and advisory boards and was
elected Alumni Fellow in 1998.
