Your AACC Student Staff

Under the leadership of Dean Dhall, they help organize and publicize AACC events. They manage publications, photo albums, the house and the website. They reach out to alumni and freshmen alike. And they are responsible for many other things besides. Now get to know them!

Alex Liu

Katrina

College: Trumbull '12

Position: Special Events Co-Coordinator

Hometown: Rochester, NY

Music that I couldn't live without: I most just listen to singles, but if I had to choose a single album, it would probably be The Lion King soundtrack. It was the first CD that I ever owned and it still manages to stir my emotions. I don't care what anyone says, but Disney friggin' rocks.

Did You Know That...

  • I like the smell of musty books.
  • I can fall asleep within five minutes, anywhere, anytime.
  • I really enjoy the simple things in life. Like jumping around in puddles or watching the sun rise. Some may call me a hopeless romantic. I just find it fun =D.

Katrina Landeta

College: Branford '10

Position: Coordinator of AACC Programs

Hometown: The Valley (Los Angeles), Sunny California

Music that I couldn't live without: Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams. Jack Johnson's best, this album eases me into a relaxing bliss so effortlessly that I could listen to it for hours. It also reminds me of good times in high school and California sunshine.

Did You Know That...

  • I can never turn down a good hug.
  • I broke my foot rushing the field after Yale's victory at The Game in 2006.
  • As an only child, I enjoy having people around me all the time. I was raised with a big Filipino family with too many cousins to count. In Branford, I'm part of a Suite Family of fifteen beautiful people. I enjoy traveling with Yale programs because I'm guaranteed to have good company. Needless to say, having a single for the first time this year has been strange.

Music that I couldn't live without: Boyz II Men - The Greatest Hits Collection

Did You Know That...

  • If you ever want to get me something nice for christmas- get me something cute =]
  • I play video games...a lot. It's an addiction that started since I was 3, and has never left me since then. I'd have to say that the stuff is more addicting than Krispy Kreme donuts, and as we all know, that stuff is CRAZY ADDICTING.
  • I never learned classical piano, but if you sing a song for me or make me listen to a track, I'll be able to play it back for you on the piano (though not perfectly: I wasn't gifted with absolute pitch).

  • I went to a high school that was 80% Asian
  • I used to wish I could move to Britain, change my citizenship and join MI6. My goal was to work my way through the agency and eventually become a Double-O...007 to be precise. I used to be a pretty huge James Bond nut...to the point where I tried to write my own James Bond novel, but that ended up just being a carbon copy of the novelization of Goldeneye but with different names (I was a bit lacking in creativity back then).
