Role in Program:
Recovery Mentor
Professional Interests:
I currently work as a Recovery Mentor at Yale University's Program for Recovery and Community Health (PRCH). I am in recovery from mental health and substance abuse issues and I implement these life experiences to help people in recovery. I have been trained in Wellness Recovery Action Planning, Intentional Peer Support, and Person-Centered Planning and have trained other peer supporters in Employment Recovery. I have a strong passion for peer work and am dedicated to helping those in recovery to move forward in their life and maintain a healthy and productive attitude. My life experiences have brought me up from homelessness and incarceration to being a positive and effective part of the recovery community and society as a whole.
