Role in Program:
Research Associate
Professional Interests:
I recently received my Master’s degree in Community Psychology with a concentration in program development from the University of New Haven. My research interests stem from my personal journey in recovery. I am interested in understanding more about the role of culture in the way that women and children are treated (and mistreated) in society. I am also interested in trauma-informed care and a holistic approach to recovery.
Additional research interests include the connection between environmental destruction (e.g. rampant consumption of resources) and trauma, as well as exploring the relationship between ethics and consumption.
Personal Interests:
I enjoy doing anything outside! Hiking and jogging are great ways for me to unwind. I love creating and crafting, specifically up-cycling things I find from local tag sales and vintage stores and transforming them into unique pieces of art. I love reading Newberry Award books to relax after a long day and playing with my little kittens, Backpack & Satchel.
