An Initiative From:

Omaha School District

Omaha School District comprises 103 square miles of mountainous terrain in the Ozark Mountains of north central Arkansas. We are a very rural district with a high poverty rate. As of February 2007, our total school population in pre-school through grade twelve is 501 children and adolescents.

The Omaha Child Development Center at the Omaha 21C site has a year round, full day child care center serving 27 children, from birth to age 5.

We are pleased, this year, through the help of the school district and the O.U.R. Coop, to offer free developmental, speech, vision, and hearing screenings, and any needed services.

And last, but not least, our site also houses our Parents As Teachers program which is available to any family in the area.

Please see Omaha's website for more information on their program.
