Magazine School District is located in Magazine, Arkansas, a small rural community of approximately 1,000 residents. Magazine sits at the foot of Mount Magazine for which the town and school are named. This area is noted for beautiful rivers, valleys and scenic lakes.
With Pre-K being housed with the Elementary School, students enjoy breakfasts, lunches and snacks everyday through the school cafeteria. We are also able to provide opportunities to work with other school-based personnel in music, art, media specialist/library and computer time, physical education and the kindergarten programming including The Great Expectations model weekly assemblies. Pre-Kers ride the buses to and from school plus benefit from the services provided by on-site DHS, Parent Center Coordinator as well as the 3-5 support staff through our Western Arkansas Service Cooperative whose personnel work with these students and care-givers on site, also.
We enjoy and encourage parents and family members to be actively involved in the total learning process through opportunities to visit with teachers regarding their children's experiences and progress regularly and on-going through the school.
The program's hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. daily during the school year with hopes of expansion of services beginning this summer.
