Augusta Child Center

Augusta Child Care Center began in the Fall of 1999, and became a 21C school late in February 2002. We are housed in a renovated wing of the old high school.

We have three preschool rooms. The three-year-old room has twenty children, a certified teacher, an aide with her Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), and a volunteer foster grandparent.

The four-year-old room has 20 children, a certified teacher, a caregiver who has her CDA.

The other preschool room has sixteen children. These sixteen children are the youngest four-year-olds and the oldest three-year-olds. THe combining of the ages prevented us from having a waiting list. In this room is a certified teacher and an aide with her CDA.

We also have a caregiver who "floats" to give breaks, and in case of an emergency should someone need to leave abruptly.
